Alpine Highway

Skiers enjoying the winter sun on the slopes heading down to the iconic village of Lech in Austria. It was a ice cold December morning and a strong sun came out through the clouds, I was having a stroll in this stunning village along Hotel Arlberg and decided to make a turn and head over to the bottom of the slopes as the light seemed so perfect. I stood long minutes with my film camera, hands freezing waiting for some skiers to go down and ended up shooting the scene a couple of times. I didn’t know how it would come out until I received the kodak film scans back from the lab and i was literally in awe of the result - It ended up being one of my favorite shot ever taken.

Fun fact: Lech was actually Princess Diana’s go-to ski destination.
