Japan has flooded my social feed for years...daily videos of chest deep snow, vibrant Tokyo alleys, and copious amounts of wagyu. After sampling all of the above on my first trip there, I can tell you the hype is real! But one of the unexpected gems scattered across the country are the vending machines. With a few coins and the push of a button, voila! Anything from hot coffee, cold beer, or a delicious onigiri (Japanese rice ball). I found this particular machine cruising the streets of Myoko Kogen, a tiny ski area a couple hours train ride from Tokyo. This area receives more than 13 meters of snow every season. Easy to believe as this machine had no snow on it the day prior.
