If you were visiting St. Moritz in the twenties or thirties, you most probably would have seen them: the famous Skating Waiters of the Grand Hotels. The waiters learned to ice skate while carrying trays heavily laden with ice, crystal glasses, and cold champagne to the fur-clad resort guests having lunch and cocktails at the rink. For the automotive culture event "The ICE" St. Moritz in February 2023, the Grand Hotel Suvretta House has revived this tradition and at the same time conjured up an original Aston Martin DB5 James Bond edition on the ice. Which brings us to the conclusion that forgotten, but beautiful, chic and otherwise commendable things from times past always come back sooner or later.
