Driving down washed out dirt roads underneath monsoon skies. Chasing wild horses amongst these giant rock formations. Visiting with old and new friends from the Navajo Nation is how I spend most of my time while exploring Monument Valley, AZ. There is so much history spread out across these lands. The Navajo people have taught me many valuable lessons and words to live by inside these desert walls. I captured this artwork while standing underneath the West Mitten just shortly after sunrise and just before a massive rain storm rolled into the valley.
